Ride On!

The best part of this junk-o-cycle. If you look, this guy is actually hauling a trailer with this thing. Can you imagine what that thing is made of?

I suspect that the car engine is still under the hood and functioning (I suspect the donor vehicle was front-wheel-drive). There is no engine on the motorcycle frame any more.
So the guy probably has enough horsepower to pull a trailer. But he went to a lot of trouble to build this thing..
i think the bike is a vulcan 750.
it looks like the donor vehicle was a Ford Tempo, definitely front wheel drive, yet a 4 cylinder, but without the extra weight of the rest of the car, it probably can haul something as large as a tent trailer.
jack:can you suspect what he’s pulling? I don’t know about you but i would love to know.
Here’s another guy Monster Garage ought to be talking to… Imagine what he could do with serious support and materials. Yeah, it’s weird… but it’s pretty cool, for all of that, and you KNOW he turns heads wherever he goes. I mean damn, I only get that creative with model kits and toys for props.
Looks to me like it is a Ford Escort front. Also check out the tail section grafted on. Really kind of well done and a cool idea. Bet it will fly and get great gas mileage, at least compaired to a car. Shame he painted it camo, a shiny paint job would have made it outstanding.
When I look at this thing, I hear banjos!
I have seen one made from the rear end of a Pontiac Fiero. Looked pretty good.
now that is intriguing, the mechanical alteration to incorporate the controls of the engine & brakes in the front wheel drive chuck of the car to the controls on the handlebars make this an interesting contraption. krylon camo paint job took away style points, but hey, the thing isn’t some piece of shit covered in fur.
The bikes got no motor making this thing a rear wheel drive, it must handle terribly in the snow.
At least it’s camo so it won’t draw a whole lot of attention. Maybe it’s his “camp bike”, you know? He’s just come to the Wal-Mart to pick up some deer corn, batteries for the deercam, Keystone, and toilet paper for the wilderness fortress.
Would that still be considered “front-wheel drive”?
It’s a good thing there’s a spoiler on there to generate some extra downforce. He’ll need it to keep all three wheels of that rolling monument of awesomeness on the ground!
You know what I don’t get though, the luggage rack. He’s got a trunk AND a trailer…right? He almost racks up the style points here, but nothing ruins that clean, cool look like putting luggage on top.
Have you driven a Ford…lately?
This one has been on other sites. It is not the only “trike” made from a FrontWheelDrive Auto. Just about as easy as the older VW conversions, but has to have auto trans. This one is unique in that it used the rear panels too.
It’s a Ford Escort for sure, and there is no luggage space behind the rear of the engine and trans, thus the need for the luggage rack. And Chris, I hope you are kidding about the driving in snow comment as no-one could possibly be THAT dumb. It would have traction for days since all of the weight of the vehicle is over the rear (drive) wheels.
And, in case anyone doesn’t alreay know, there is another one of these on this very site, page 40, also made from an Escort. This one is nicer. The other is red-oxide primer and has no luggage rack, just a bag strapped to the hood.
There is another Escort trike right here on this site. (page 40) There is no storage space behind the engine, thus the luggage rack…
And no, it won’t handle bad in the snow with rear wheel drive, Chris. The motor is directly on top of the wheels for excellent grip.
Can he smoke the tires on that rascal?
I GOTS ta know!
Surprisingly, the internet provides.
Here’s a different angle: http://thatwillbuffout.com/2010/02/07/funny-car-photos-redneck-tricycle/
It’s a kludge-o-cycle pulling a three wheeler in a trailer.
I saw one like this in Sturgis on 2007. The bike engine was removed and covered up with sheetmetal and the controls were routed to a Geo Metro front end with the rear grafted on in a similar fashion.
